8 Years On
Sep 11th
It is now 8 Years since the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, The Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia and the aircraft that met its end in Pennsylvania.
This Budweiser advertisement that is part of a series of Clydesdale themed ads, aired only once during the 2002 Superbowl and is still the one thing I think of every time 9/11 is mentioned. It is able to convey what a lot of us wanted to say but couldn’t muster up in words after the attacks.
The Jay Leno Show Redux
Sep 10th
In my previous Jay Leno related post I bitched and moaned about The Comedy Channel not picking up The Jay Leno Show (which premieres Monday in the US at 10/9c on NBC) and either they listened to Leno fans or they had some issues getting the rights to the show as earlier this week it was made official.
The Comedy Channel will air the show and in primetime, Weeknights at 7.30pm AEST starting this Tuesday 15th September. Great news!
This also sees the oridnary Jimmy Kimmel Live! moved from 10.00pm to 11.15pm following The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, in between Conan and Jimmy Fallon. Why did they not just move it before or after Letterman following Jimmy Fallon?
Now you will have Conan saying ‘stay tuned for Jimmy Fallon’ while in Australia we will get Kimmel and then finally Fallon. I don’t understand that move.
At least they finally confirmed the Leno airing and I look forward to watching it every night without the need to watch it on NBC.com via Hotspot Shield. I’ve already series linked it, sad? Perhaps.
The Jay Leno Show, Weeknights at 7.30pm on The Comedy Channel starting Tuesday September 15 in Australia and on NBC Weeknights at 10/9c in the States.
U.S. Public Option: Can’t afford to wait
Sep 5th
MoveOn.org collected stories from readers and photos about how the Health Care Crisis in the U.S. is effecting them and made this fairly moving video. The chance for a Public Option is finally upon America, will they finally catch up with us?
