I agree with you, a reasonable standard of public health, government backed should be a given in any society.

Based on all I’ve read, any government backed public health scheme would be better than what America currently has.
Government , good government, should be about doing the best for the bulk of the people. Every earning person should contribute to a basic public health scheme, that’s the only way one can be viable. Those who can afford it, can if they so desire, take out additional private health care. Based on what little I know, Obama’s scheme, while not perfect is a step in the right direction,
problems can be ironed out as it goes along.

I’m not saying it shouldn’t be done. I’m not against having a public option. I’m against having THIS public option. Because thus far our government (mine) has YET to run something satisfactory. Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare etc. It’s all shit run and broke. If passed, the option Obama is presenting at this time will only further to bankrupt and inflate our country. And another shitty run public option does absolutely no good to the people it’s supposed to help.

The statement he made about caping doctor’s earnings is completely unAmerican. (If a corporation wants to cap its CEO that’s one thing but the government (in a free market society) has no right to cap wages.)

Beyond money…it’s a rotten plan. I’m absolutely for putting together a public system. I’m absolutely against forcing people to be on one. (If I don’t want health insurance public or otherwise my government shouldn’t force me to have it.)

America can solve its issues with other kinds of reform.

This is a blog, so I’m not going to go point by point through the 1000 pages… but what Obama is proposing is NOT the solution for America. I don’t care if Ted wanted it passed. It’s a bad solution.

It’s not that I don’t think health care ought to be a right, I just think that it needs to be done in such a way that is better than what they’re proposing – this ain’t it.

Why though? Why is it wrong? What can be better?

I hear these comments but nobody expands on them, whats is wrong with a Public Option?

Here you can choose, if you have the money you get Private Health Insurance, if you don’t or don’t want to bother then you use the Public Health System.

It has its faults but its not biased against folks who can’t get proper insurance. Healthcare should be a right, if Education is, why not something arguably more important?

I’m sorry, but I am not in favor of this National Health Care plan. I think there can be a better written plan or other options than what Obama is asking congress to pass.

I think this plan is the wrong plan for America.
