Huckabee Wanted to Isolate AIDS Patients
Alan Colmes (Hannity and Colmes, Alan Colmes Show) brings this to my attention from now Republican Presidential frontrunner Mike Huckabee.
Mike Huckabee once advocated isolating AIDS patients from the general public, opposed increased federal funding in the search for a cure and said homosexuality could “pose a dangerous public health risk.”
At the time Huckabee was saying these things it was common knowledge that AIDS could not be spread by casual contact. Nevertheless, he also said,
“I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle, and we now know it can pose a dangerous public health risk.” Source
Not only is this guy a neo-conservative, he is homophobic and offensive to those who have different lifestyle choices than that of his own. This guy is not Presidential material if he cannot represent all Americans, not just straight ones.

All that he said about Homosexuality was his own opinion and truth concerning the sin factor, but it went too far saying it posed a public health risk. I don’t want the guy for President. He supports higher taxes, weak on illegal immigration, kept trying to get a rapist and murder out of jail. He has major issues and maybe he’s a changed man or something, but I don’t want to take that risk.

Huckabee is entitled to his view, I would suggest his view is supportd by 70% or there abouts of Americans. However, the real point of this, is, no one can represent ALL Americans or all Australians or all any nationality. Even God failed in this matter.
What a leader has to do, is represent the majority. Maybe Huck’s
can do that?

If the majority of Americans support isolating AIDS patients, then they are psychologically unstable. If you wanted to isolate AIDS patients, then why not isolate anyone with a contagious disease. This Huckabee guy is a sick man. If he did enforce this imagine, he would be impeached in a second. A president should serve the people, protect them. This is NOT protecting people.
