Jay Leno to stay at NBC after 2009?
That’s what it looks like, although he is not as edgy as Conan, he has done a superb job filling the shoes of the late Johnny Carson. Since he took over in 1993 the show has had its ups and downs but for the most part has dominated the 11.30 timeslot. Proving Leno is as likable and popular as ever. Even with an insurgent Nightline on ABC, The Tonight show holds its ground quite well.
You would think with that track record NBC would be crazy to loose Leno even after he leaves The Tonight Show? Well you would be right. From the latest reports it seems as if NBC is already planning something for Leno when he leaves. Is it a new show? Perhaps primetime? Or something entirely different? What would be astounding is if he took the 12.30 slot. That is extremely unlikely as that slot has previously been for edgier younger comics like Conan and Letterman. So whatever Leno does when he leaves TTS it should be exciting and I personally hope he will stick around for many years to come.

The Ploy at 44
The Ploy, a talk podcast show I have done with my with dear friend Benjamin J. May since January 2006, has just released a new episode revolving around a former show I co-created called “The LTS Podcast” all about Leo Laporte’s (now dying) forums. During early 2006 we interviewed Dick DeBartolo and well a havoc situation occurred.
Mad Maddest writer from Leo Laporte’s “Daily Giz Wiz” and writer from Mad Magazine was interviewed in early 2006 and the whole interview was plagued by Skype audio problems leading to a argument. Until now the interview was kept secret! However we have obtained the audio and listen out for Dick’s outburst at the end. Hilarious stuff!
So we (well Ben) decided to dedicate the latest episode of The Ploy to that episode. I think it is a very interesting listen. Check it out here and if you like digg it.

Suspicious?
This is capped from MSNBC, is it a little suspicious how if you dropped “pea” it looks a little different? Is it just me?
