I have decided it is time to leave the Leoville Townsquare Podcast. It has been a fun 5 months but I feel it is my time to move on and continue behind the scenes work at Negative Penguin Media and my other podcasts.

My last show will be on Saturday June 3rd 2006. I hope you will all listen to that and all episodes still to come. I wish my other 2 co-hosts Paul Tevis and Chris Lee the best of luck and hope the show continues to go well without me as a co-host.

I did a special guest appearance on the latest GameHype podcast. Hosted by Graham Brunk and Chris Lee. I did a segment about the newly announced Grand Theft Auto IV.

Two Australian miners have been rescued from a gold mine after two weeks trapped underground and are safe and well, the mine manager said early Tuesday.

Matthew Gill, manager of the Beaconsfield Gold Mine, said Brant Webb, 37, and Todd Russell, 34 — who have been lodged in a steel cage beneath tons of fallen rocks for two weeks — were removed from the escape tunnel cut into the rock. He said both men were well.

Veteran Nine Network reporter Richard Carleton has died after suffering a suspected heart attack at Tasmania’s Beaconsfield Gold Mine, Tasmanian police say.

“He has died,” Tasmanian police constable Phil Pike told AAP.

Nine presenter Mike Munro confirmed the death during a televised news update.

“He was given treatment on the spot and taken to hospital,” a visibly shaken Munro said.

“He was taken to hospital, as you can see, where doctors have only just pronounced him dead.

“Our friend and colleague, Richard Carleton, from 60 Minutes, dead.”

Tasmanian government adviser Shaun Rigby said he saw Carleton collapse soon after asking a question at a press conference about the mine rescue.

“I saw him, and I said ‘he’s down’ and we rushed over there pretty much straight away,” Mr Rigby told reporters.
